2017/18 KAISERCRAFT design team application

hello KAISERCRAFT fans!

today i've got a very special layout to share with you. this is my submission for the second round of the 2017/2018 KAISERCRAFT design team call out! i'm very happy and honoured to be chosen to go the second round and to have the pleasure to work with their brand new paper collection LILAC WHISPER.

i decided to use a black and white picture of my daughter, because i thought it will be perfect for the sentiments featured in this paper line. my title was of course easy to assemble - i've seen nothing but JOY from this little girl and she never sees to amaze me!

"BEAUTIFUL JOY"

and here are the close up progress pictures together with some TIPS & TRICKS on how i did it:

distress the cardstock with gesso. leave it to dry and sprinkle KAISERMIST different colours on top of it.

using the mini template and lilac coloured ink, create extra pattern on the corrugated cardstock.

cut to panels from pattern paper - larger than your picture - distress their edges and adhere them on top of each other using mounting foam tape.

TIP! you can create a pattern or match the pattern from the paper, using wooden shapes.

mat your picture onto white cardstock, adhere it on top of the pattern paper panels and create your design around it using paper blooms, collectable shapes, die cuts and stickers.

and here are some close ups of the finished project:

i hope you enjoyed my project today!

wish me GOOD LUCK and keep your fingers crossed for me, please!

have a wonderful weekend!

hugs 'n smiles,
