TIME WELL SPENT {merly impressions & kaisercraft}

hello crafty peeps!

thank you for stopping by!

today i would like to share a layout i created for MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog feat. KAISERCRAFT’s coastal escape collection, BURLAP and KAISERMIST spray inks {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}.

"TIME WELL SPENT"

for my background i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock and CORAL pattern paper. i distressed the edges of the pattern paper and adhered it to the CARDSTOCK using KAISERCRAFT 12mm double-sided tape. then i stamped repeatedly with the background clear stamp – FISHING NET and VINTAGE ink pad around the middle of the pattern paper to create an extra pattern matching the colour of the burlap.

after the ink has dried i used TEXTURE paste and the snowflakes mask from the CHRISTMAS QUARTERS 12×12 stencil to give my background some dimension. as a final touch i sprinkled KAISERMIST spray ink – WHITE and ANTIQUE GOLD on top of all the layers.

for the layers under my picture i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock and 15cm BURLAP ROLL. i embossed the cardstock using EMBOSSING FOLDER – anchors and removed a few threads from each side of the BURLAP layer to give it more distressed look.
then i adhered the different layers with MOUNTING FOAM TAPE.

to embellish my picture i used fussy cut shells from the SEA SHELLS gloss paper and stickers from the 12" STICKER SHEET matching the COASTAL ESCAPE collection. before adhering the shells i embossed them slightly with EMBOSSING TOOL and embellish them using RHINESTONES – AQUA and DARK BLUE.

 i also used paper blooms – SAGE and mini paper blooms – COCONUT in combination with pointy fussy cut shells instead of leaves and quote circles from the COLLECTABLES pack and the mini PAPER PAD...

 ...and stickers from the 12" STICKER SHEET.

to create the banners i used leftover paper strips from WATER pattern paper and the mini PAPER PAD.

i hope you enjoyed today’s post!

have a lovely sunny weekend!

hugs 'n smiles,
