all our yesterdays {PRIMA october BAP}

hello, scrappy friends!

i was not planing to play along in any other challenge this month, but when i saw the ADORABLE sketch, created by the VERY talented anam stubbington:

i couldn't resist, i grabbed my PRIMA goodies and here is the result:

i took this picture of elise few weeks ago when we were walking in the park. the moment i saw it on my computer, i knew that it belongs with the "romantique" collection from PRIMA.

here is a complete list with all the AMAZING PRIMA products, i've used on my layout:
romantique collection - cling mounted rubber stamps
romantique collection - 12 x 12 double sided paper - orchard
romantique collection - 12 x 12 double sided paper - ha'penny
romantique collection - 12 x 12 double sided paper - hedgerow
pixie glen collection - cling mounted rubber stamps
e line - self adhesive pearls and crystals - bling - assortment 13
e line - self adhesive pearls and crystals - bling - assortment 1
stencils mask set - 8 x 8 - mix 4
romantique collection - textured stickers - alphabet
clear acrylic stamps - fence
alencon collection - tea stained seascape border spool
essentials 11 collection - flower embellishments - pixie glen
whisper collection - fabric flower embellishments - reflections
mulberry rose leaves - dark green
clear acrylic stamps and self adhesive jewels - green leaf
mini roses - yellow

other products, i used:
martha stewart crafts - edge punch - woodland branch
copic - ciao marker - R32 - peach
copic - ciao marker - G21 - lime green
ranger ink - stickles glitter glue - diamond
tim holtz distress ink pads - tattered rose
basicgrey - hopscotch collection - brads
marianne design - creatables branch {LR0151} and flower set {LR 0107}

for my background i used the hedgerow paper. to add more colour, i used a mask with tattered rose distress ink. i stamped the edge with the flower edge robber stamp from the pixie glen collection. the number " 8 " is there, because MY DARLING elise is 8 years old.

i stamped the fence on a separate piece of paper and cut is carefully with a crafting knife to create dimension. the flowers are from the essentials 11 collection and the whisper collection. i added some die cuts from marianne design to re-create branches.

for the title i used the romantique alphabet and a rubber cling stamp from the same collection. i will post a short tutorial later this week about how to fit your title on any journalling tag stamp.

i stamped and cut to create the embellishments for this project.

the new cling stamp from PRIMA are just PERFECT if you want to leave sweet little messages on your layouts.

i stitched the circle from the sketch template, added some butterflies and glitter.

to mask my cut out, i continued the tree with the cling stamps from the pixie glen collection. i coloured the blossoms and the leaves with copic ciao markers.

this was a long post, but i hope you enjoyed my story!

i'm off to UK now!:-)

incredible experience {DCWV}

hello, scrappy friends!

this month i managed to enter one more challenge - the DCWV october stack-a-holic template challenge. the rules are easy - create a layout, following their sketch, e-mail it and you can win 3 of the NEWEST DCWV stacks.

the template i had to work with was made from susan from sayvy sketches.

here is my interpretation:

i really like the straight lines and simplicity of this sketch. for my background i used white cardstock, which i sprayed with "hula hoop" and "caribbean blue" glimmer mist. then i cut all the different elements from the MAGNIFICENT "taj mahal" {8" x 8"} paper stack.

i use PRIMA lace and blue ribbon for the borders. i added some "golden" stickles glitter glue to the lace to match the papers.

the title is made with brown cardstock and tim holtz' "once upon a time" alteration die. i covered the letters with "diamond" stickles glitter glue.

i added pearls and decorative elements to embellish my papers.

the border stamp is from PRIMA marketing.

thank YOU for stopping by and have a WONDERFUL weekend everybody!

Emmy

look-alike {SC october product challenge}

hello, scrappy friends!

this month, i'm hosting the october "by the numbers" challenge at scrapbook challenges. my challenge to you is to create a layout, using the following "recipe":
2 pictures
3 punches
4 main colours
5 different papers

here is a little inspiration from me:

i used 2 pictures of baby THEO and grandpa THEO, made last EASTER, when they were wearing the same shirts and almost the same sweaters - hence the title:-)

i thought the PRIMA "reflections" paper line would be PERFECT for this boyish layout. and no girly flowers;-) only the manly rosettes from TIM HOLTZ.

check my tutorial "how to make a journalling tag from pattern paper" and find out how i created the FAMILY tag from the "scribe" background paper.

for the rosettes i used tim holtz' "mini paper rosettes" cutting die. the title is written with brown PRIMA marketing alphabet, which i coloured dark brown with copic ciao markers.

for the layers of my triple border i used ek success punch "morocco", PRIMA marketing lace and martha stewart's edge punch "iron gate".

i added liquid pearls "white opal" to the punched borders:

to summarize - on this layout i used:
2 pictures - from baby THEO and opa THEO
3 punches - EK success, martha stewart and corner rounder
4 main colours - butter cream, maraschino, nightmist and chocolate cream
5 pattern papers - from the AMAZING "reflections" collection {scribe, cyrus, caravan, kashana and talavera}

so, get those scrappy materials and come to play with us at scrapbook challenges.

how to create a journalling tag from a pattern paper

hello, scrappy friends!

did you ever had the feeling that you can't find the right journalling tag for your projects? did you ever searched and searched for the right colour label and nothing seemed good enough? well, i did... one time too many...

but last week, when i was preparing my latest layout "LOOK-ALIKE", it hit me - i can use any paper from my stash to create the PERFECT journalling tag! no matter if it is a dark paper, a pattern paper or a script paper - it's just a matter of using your eraser long enough to create the IDEAL label. and the best part is that your tailor-made tag will always have the right colour, exactly the shape you need and you won't worry anymore if you have the complete collection in the middle of your creativity process!

see below how i created my journalling tag in just 3 simple steps:

1. start erasing the ink from the pattern paper of your choice, until your spot is light enough to write on it.

2. stamp, draw or sketch the outlines of your label

3. cut out the ready label

ta-da! your hand-made journalling tag is finished and you can add it to any project you like!

i hope this tut was useful and i can't wait to see your creations!
have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Emmy

more heartfelt creations projects

hello lovely friends!

today, i want to share some more heartfelt creations projects with you.

the first one is a layout I made using the AMAZING bella rose stamp set and the matching cutting dies.

i used a picture of the 25 roses i got from hubby for my 25 birthday!

the background is created with white cardstock, which i sprayed with a combination "santa baby" and "pink bubblegum" glimmer mist. i cut out 1 cm from each side and attached the remaining piece with double sided adhesive tape to a sheet of pattern paper {k & company}. the stitch pattern is created with sew easy.

i rounded the corners of my picture with a corner punch and createed an artistic effect with gesso. then i
stamped the rose frame on the misted cardstock, using the rose swirl from the classic bella rose precut set and coloured the leaves and the roses with my FAVOURITE copic ciao markers. i added liquid pearls "white opal" as a finishing touch.

for the shaped borders i used martha stewart "garden gate" deep edge punch and en success "floral"edge punch".

for the roses i used the classic bella rose precut set - i stamp the flowers on a on a white cardstock and colour them with copic ciao markers. cutting was very easy with the help of my LOVELY cuttlebug and the bella rose die. i added some green branches and swirls with leaves to complete my embellishment set.

the title is written with rhinestones, coloured again with copic ciao. i wrote word “RED” by hand. and finished the layout off with rub-ons and glitter glue "diamond".

i used the following heartfelt products to create this project:
HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose PreCut Set
HCPC 3395 Bella Rose Vase PreCut Set
HCD 712 Bella Rose Die

i've created also a card with the same stamp set:

i used pink cardstock for the card-base. with the sew easy tool i created the stitch pattern and attached the pattern paper to the card.

then, i stamped a few roses from the classic bella rose precut set on a white cardstock and coloured them with copic ciao. for the background for my bouquet i used two swirls with leaves and multiple layers of flowers. tied a bow from a sheer ribbon and attached it with a brad. i finished the card off with stickles glitter glue “diamond”.

it was along post, but i hope you enjoyed it!

have a great weekend!

hugs 'n smiles,

exciting news & heartfelt creations

hello, lovely friends!

today, i've got a very EXCITING news to share with you - i've been invited to join the design team of HEARTFELT CREATIONS! YAY! i'm very very HAPPY and HONOURED to be part of such
AMAZING design team!

i've created the "winter wishes" altered frame, using HEARTFELT CREATIONS stamps and cutting die:

i begun with covering a white frame with gesso. i stamped the brown branch from the classic bella rose pre cut set directly on the dried frame.

the swirl with leaves die cut is made with the bella rose die.

i cut a 13 x 18 cm piece of white card stock and use the swirl as a mask. i sprayed it with silver glimmer mist and outlined the leaves with "diamonds" glitter glue. the image is from the newest TILDA card set "winterbird".

i stamped a few roses from the classic bella rose precut set and the vase with roses from the bell rose vase precut set on a white cardstock and colour them with my FAVOURITE copic ciao markers {RV10, G21, B00 and B12}. i cut them using my very HELPFUL cuttlebug and the bella rose die. I sprayed the die cuts with marshmallow glimmer mist and let them dry.

i cut the swirl die cut in two and layered the roses on it.

added the rhinestones and my altered frame was complete.

i used the following heartfelt products to create this project:
HCPC 3394 Classic Bella Rose PreCut Set
HCPC 3395 Bella Rose Vase PreCut Set
HCD 712 Bella Rose Die

travel with style {imaginisce}

hello scrappy friends!

this is my first attempt to play along in the monthly sketch challenge going on at the imaginisce blog. the sketch this month was absolutely FABULOUS! ans the DT examples were AMAZING as usual!

here is my take on this FANTASTIC sketch:

on the pictures - little baby ELISE coming home after a long winter vacation in my home country BULGARIA.

to create my layout i used the ADORABLE "scooter's vacation" paper line and the matching snag 'em stamps from IMAGINISCE. i sticthed, stamped, coloured and fussy cut as usual:-)

some close ups:

i used the words from the "go, scooter, go!" paper for my journalling spot. i attached them with 3d adhesive tape to create layers and give dimension to my layout.

the blue tag is made with the "vacation snag"  clear stamp, coloured with copic ciao red marker.

i used the road signs from the "bon voyage" paper to embellish my circles.

i hope you enjoyed my post! thank you for stopping by!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

trying something new

hello, lovely friends!

today i want to share a different form of art with you. recently, i was invited to try something new {for me} - creating with soap. working with soap - cutting different shapes and attaching them to wonderful home decorations is really easy indeed. the result was quite satisfying! see for yourself:

to create this soapy decoration, i used two different soap colours and various soapy shapes:

i added a lot of embellishments - buttons, ribbon, beads:

and some wooden elements to create the autumn look and feel of my soapy chain:

i hope you enjoyed my latest creation! i sure had a lot fun making it!
