i've been published!!!

hello bloggers!

just a quick newsflash - i've been published! again! YES!

i was pleasantly surprised when i got an e-mail from gingerscrapstreet.com editors, that my layout "little pixie" is chosen to be published in their august 2011 issue.

the article, featuring my layout, is about "playing with dolls" and the possibilities of using chipboard or hand-made mannequins on your page.

on my layout i used the FABULOUS dusty attic chipboard mannequin, which i dressed up like tinker bell. a used white lace (coloured green with glimmer mist) and hand-made blue wings. i think that it looks just perfect on my little pixie layout.

if you are interested in some close ups and more detailed information about my layout, you can read my original post HERE.

the lantern and the balloon i cut with my DARLING silhoutte and i coloured them with copic ciao markers.

the flowers are from prima marketing (naturally;-), k&company papers and buttons!

as usual, i did a lot of stamping, stitching, doodling and inking on this layout:

spare ribs {bo bunny friday challenge}

good evening, bloggers!

this post is entirely devoted to bo bunny! i love their friday challenges! they always come up with the most amazing ideas. last friday for example - the challenge was "scrap your favourite food"

i have to admit, this was a though one... i {LOVE} chocolate! elise's FAV food is banitsa (this is a traditional bulgarian food prepared by layering a mixture of whisked eggs and pieces of cheese between filo pastry and then baking it in an oven). robert can't live without cheese and theo - he {LOVES} to eat everything. but every time when we are in sofia (my home town), we all run to "murphy's" for a big portion of spare ribs with "hickory" barbecue sauce and wedges! (if you ever go to sofia, bulgaria, make sure to visit this magical place;-)

so, there you go - i made a layout about our spare ribs obsession!

i used bo bunny's "LOVE BANDIT" paper line, few martha stewart and ek success's punches and a lot of DMC thread.

here are some close ups:

i started with white cardstock and a bottle of "hula hoop" glimmer mist. then i stitched the green frame and started arranging my elements.

as usual, i did a lot of stitching, inking and punching! i used martha stewart's "iron gate" and ek success "arches and flowers" edge punches.

i really like this quote from Bo Bunny's cardstock stickers:-) it describes our family exactly! the little word {LOVE} comes from the product details stripe, attached to every one of their sheets. you know their logo "bo bunny a gift of love" - well, the {love} at the end was just the word I was looking for:-)

i hope you enjoyed my layout! i had a great FUN making it!

off to conquer istanbul now!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy

the sweetest thing {GD work for scrapdelight}

hello bloggers,

last month i was invited to be a guest designer at scrapdelight - a dutch online shop for hobby and scrapbook materials. here is another one of my projects i did for them - for their friday summer challenge:

i named it "the sweetest thing", because i just adore these two cuties and when i see Elise protecting and caring for her little brother theo, my heart melts.

i used mainly prima marketing's "celebrate! jack and jill" paper collection, chipboard and flowers. as usual i did a lot of stamping and glittering:

the AMAZING flowers are also from prima marketing - whisper collection "madeline" and e-line flowers "aqua". i used some of the FABULOUS prima sculptured flowers as well.

the cute fishes are from inkadinkado "sheet-fish & friends". i coloured them with copic ciao markers:

layers:
  • fishes - glittered sticker sheet "celebrate! jack & jill"
  • liquid pearls white opal
  • "be mine" paper "celebrate! jack & jill!"
  • prima marketing lace
  • glittered sticker broder "celebrate! jack & jill"
  • "be mine" paper "celebrate! jack & jill!
  • martha stewart deep edger "daisy fan"
  • liquid pearls white opal

i cut one of the shells, added some stickles and used it as an embellishment:

i hope you enjoyed my post! have a wonderful SUNNY week!

hugs 'n smiles,
Emmy
